The Lagencuvée is a tribute to our four VDP.Große Lagen (Grand Cru vineyards): KIRCHBERG, SCHARLACHBERG, JOHANNISBERG, and FELSENECK. Four different soil types compete for prominence: red slate, green slate, limestone, and Taunus quartzite. The wines were aged separately. After fermentation, we conducted a cuvée tasting and determined the percentage of each wine to be blended into the Lagencuvée.

The Lagencuvée displays incredible concentration and structure, appearing firm yet elegant. It's like a prima ballerina with powerful musculature – graceful, yet full of energy and expressiveness.

This year, the label once again features a work of art by the artist Sven Ochsenreither, whom we highly admire. The painting is called "Fruit Basket" and rightly evokes Caravaggio's fruit basket.
